ArenaNet has rolled out an exciting lineup of updates for Guild Wars 2 this spring and summer. The centerpiece is the release of the final chapter of the “Secrets of the Obscure” expansion, titled “The Midnight King,” which went live on May 21. This update introduces three new story chapters, a fractal dungeon named “The Lonely Tower,” and convergences challenge mode.
In “The Midnight King,” players will confront Eparch, a powerful adversary in the spires of Zakiros. To defeat him and seize control of the Realm of Dreams, players will ally with soldiers, wizards, and demons. Along with the new storyline, players can look forward to new adventures, events, and rewards, including six new relics, the Suffused Obsidian legendary armor, and a new ranger pet, the juvenile spinegazer.
World vs. World (WvW) will see the World Restructuring system enter a perpetual beta phase on June 14, with various quality-of-life improvements. PvP updates include new attribute amulets and improved rewards.
Additionally, Guild Wars 2 will host a series of festivals and bonus events throughout the summer. Stay tuned for more exciting developments!
